Send the timeframe
Tell us what is happening, where the participant is located, and how soon support is needed.
Capacity available, subject to demand
Need behaviour support without a long wait? PBSG often has capacity to start, subject to current availability, and we will tell you quickly and honestly what is realistic.
If timing matters, refer the participant and tell us what is happening. We aim to respond within about one business day so you are not left guessing whether anyone has seen the request.
A referral is the quickest way to get an honest capacity answer.
Why referrers choose PBSG
Send what you have; we clarify the gaps rather than bounce it back.
Senior PBS clinicians stand behind every next step.
Support that protects dignity and works in real environments.
An honest view of availability early — no unclear waitlist.
Simple next step
Capacity changes, so the useful answer is specific to the participant. The referral gives us enough to respond with care rather than a generic promise.
Tell us what is happening, where the participant is located, and how soon support is needed.
A PBSG team member reviews current capacity against the participant's needs and likely support pathway.
We explain whether we can help, what can start first, and what timeframe is realistic.
When a participant needs behaviour support, waiting months can make an already difficult situation harder. Families and support teams can become exhausted, behaviours of concern may escalate, and everyone can feel stuck without a plan.
PBSG cannot remove every wait in every situation, and we will not pretend capacity is unlimited. What we can do is make availability clear early and move quickly where current capacity allows.
Immediate capacity does not mean a behaviour support plan appears overnight. It means PBSG often has room to start the referral conversation, gather information, confirm funding, and plan next steps without placing the person on a long, undefined waitlist.
Availability depends on the participant's needs, location, urgency, funding, and practitioner capacity at the time you refer. We use careful language because overpromising helps no one.
Once you refer, we look at the information provided and contact you to understand what support is needed. Where we can help, we talk through the likely pathway, including whether an interim behaviour support plan may be appropriate while fuller assessment work is arranged.
The goal is simple: fewer unanswered emails, fewer unclear waits, and a faster path to the right next step.
The quickest way to check capacity is to refer the participant and include the timeframe you are working to. You do not need a complete file before contacting us.
Tell us what is happening, who is involved, and whether there are immediate risks. We will give you an honest answer about fit and current availability rather than keeping you in the dark.
Low-friction referral
Send a referral with the urgency, location, and current concerns. We will respond honestly rather than leaving you in a vague queue.
Available subject to current capacity. No manufactured urgency.
Real people, clear process
Fast response only matters if the support is thoughtful, safe, and practical. PBSG combines responsiveness with experienced practitioners and clear communication.
Before you refer
Capacity is real but limited. We will tell you what is realistic for the participant.
You should know whether anyone has seen the referral and what the next step is.
Where appropriate, interim planning may help address immediate concerns while assessment continues.
A quicker start does not mean rushing assessment, consent, safeguards, or planning.
No. We often have capacity to start, but availability changes and depends on the participant's needs, location, urgency, funding, and current practitioner capacity. We will be honest about what is realistic.
We aim to respond within about one business day, subject to current capacity. That is a response aim, not a guarantee that support itself starts within one day.
Tell us about any urgent risk in the referral. Where clinically appropriate, interim behaviour support planning may help put safer strategies in place sooner while a comprehensive assessment is arranged. For emergencies, contact emergency services.
No. Capacity is about demand management and responsiveness, not cutting corners. PBSG still works within a person-centred, evidence-informed, trauma-informed approach.
Send a referral with a short description of what is happening and the timeframe you need. A PBSG team member can then give you an honest view of current availability and next steps.
