Bendigo serves as a hub for a wide stretch of central Victoria, with its own communities across the CBD, Kangaroo Flat, Golden Square, Eaglehawk, Epsom, and the growing area of Strathfieldsaye. People travel into Bendigo for services from well beyond the city itself, which can mean long waits and a lot of driving for families seeking behaviour support. We combine in-person visits with remote support so that distance has less say in how soon a participant gets help.
Because Bendigo draws participants from such a wide catchment, the handful of practitioners based here carry demand from far beyond the city limits, and that imbalance is part of why support can take time to land. We try not to make it worse with slow, paperwork-heavy intake. The priority is putting our hours into the support itself and telling families plainly what we can offer and roughly when.
We collaborate with Bendigo schools, allied health providers, and support coordinators so that strategies stay consistent whether a person is at home in Strathfieldsaye, at a program in Kangaroo Flat, or out in the community in the city centre. The goal is one coherent, respectful approach across the different settings a person moves through each week.
