Far North Queensland covers a lot of ground, and Cairns is a long way from the south-east. We're honest about that distance: our support here combines in-person work in and around Cairns with remote and telehealth sessions, so that getting started doesn't depend on a practitioner being free to travel hundreds of kilometres on a given day. For many families, a blend of an in-person visit and regular remote check-ins keeps support consistent without long gaps.
We work across the Cairns area (the City and Earlville, the northern growth around Smithfield and the Northern Beaches, and south through Edmonton and Gordonvale), and we try to fit around the realities of a regional centre, including wet-season travel, school terms, and the everyday logistics of a spread-out region.
Far North Queensland is home to many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and we aim to work in a way that is culturally safe and respectful: listening first, taking the lead from families and local services, and shaping support around what matters to each person rather than imposing a fixed template.
